Young Festival Makers Call Out - Cavan Arts Festival 2025
Cavan Arts Festival is excited to welcome a new group of Young Festival Makers to be part of the action in 2025! Now in its second year, this unique programme gives young people the opportunity to experience festival making firsthand by shadowing the Cavan Arts Festival team and gaining insight into what it takes to bring our four day festival to life.
Who is this for?
Anybody aged 18-30 with an interest in arts, events, or festival production in the Cavan or surrounding regions.
What does it involve?
– Pre-development sessions with festival experts.
– Sit in on a festival committee meeting leading up to the festival.
– Hands on experience during the festival from May 15th-18th, in Cavan Town.
Throughout the programme, participants will explore various aspects of festival making, tailored to their interests, from programming and artist liaison to PR, production, sound engineering, and more. This is an opportunity to gain real festival experience, work as part of a team, and develop the skills to run your own festival or event in the future. A positive and supportive learning environment will be created where participants can ask questions, gain confidence, and explore their interests.
