Since Villagers’ revelatory debut ‘Becoming a Jackal’ was released in 2010, Conor O’Brien has amassed a string of accolades including two Ivor Novello Awards, two Mercury Music Prize nominations, and the Choice Music Prize.

Villagers’ music has featured in the hit series Normal People and their Spotify session of ‘Nothing Arrived’ has hit over 180 million streams. Their latest album, 2021’s ‘Fever Dreams’ was named Irish Album of the Year by The Irish Times and cements O’Brien’s status as arguably the greatest Irish songwriter of his generation

Renowned for their intimate performances, Villagers bring a full eight-piece band including brass section to Townhall Cavan, rendering their delicate pop perfection in all its intricate technicolour glory in what will be a rare treat for Cavan audiences.
