Cavan Arts Festival is proud to offer a dedicated Sensory Room in collaboration with Cavan Autism Centre as part of this year’s festival. Open to anyone who may benefit from a calm, low-stimulation environment, this space is designed to support relaxation, regulation, and inclusion.
The room will have sensory boards made by the Cavan Autism Centre, giving people a chance to explore different textures in a hands-on way. It’s a calm and cozy space with soft lighting, peaceful sounds, and soothing materials to help ease stress and anxiety. The Sensory Room is welcoming and easy to use for people of all ages and abilities. It’s a space where everyone can feel at ease, supported, and right at home.

Directions: Enter Cavan Institute through the main entrance and turn right. Walk all the way down the hallway, passing the canteen and exhibition. When you reach the end of the hallway, turn left. The Sensory Room is the first door on your right.
