Working Glas Heroes: Michelle Boyle - Watercolours Walk, Talk and Workshop
Working Glas Heroes welcomes the renowned visual artist Michelle Boyle to the Cavan Arts Festival programme to lead a very special walk and watercolour workshop along the Kinnypottle River in Con Smith Park.
Duration: 2 hours. Capacity: 20
Participants will walk the riverside stopping along the way to draw and paint from nature. The artist believes that by giving time to look closely at water and landscape, we can better understand how to care for our unique Cavan environment. Participants will be encouraged to get to know the Kinnypottle River in a new way through the act of looking, drawing and painting.
Beginners welcome, as participants will be guided in the fundamentals of drawing and watercolour painting.
Michelle is an award winning artist and leads workshops with national cultural institutions including the annual Turner watercolour workshop with The National Gallery of Ireland. www.michelleboyle-artist.com
Requirements (please bring):
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Comfortable clothes, layers and be prepared for rain and shine.
- Your own water colour paints, sketchpads, brushes.
- Be comfortable, if you need to bring a chair please feel welcome to.
