Doris and Mabel are best friends, bound by their love of books & boiled sweets. When they get together for their book club, stories burst to life as their imaginations run wild.
With truly breathtaking skills on doubles trapeze, aerial silks and duo acrobatics these two ladies bring their favourite books to life in most magnificent ways.
A show for all ages, full of jaw dropping awe & laughter by these two sweet-sucking, book-loving, kick-ass circus women. Sanita Circus is a two-woman circus company, based in Belfast, producing street theatre inspired by, and revelling in, the surreal, silly and absurd.
Sanita Circus are Anita Woods & Sarah McAvoy. Doris, aka Anita Woods, is an aerialist, acrobat & contortionist and was a founding member of The Barren Carrousel Circus show, which toured extensively throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Mabel, aka Sarah McAvoy, is an aerialist acrobat, specialising in corde lisse.
