Break an Egg by Juggler Brendan

This is a show about one man and his eggs. Juggler Brendan loves eggs. He loves throwing them, catching them, and balancing them. He loves spinning them. He loves eating them. He even loves standing on them. He hates cleaning up.

Join Juggler Brendan on this half-hour family friendly celebration of the oldest and most nutritious circus prop in the world: the egg. Marvel at his egg-citing feats of skill and daring! Be amazed by un-egg-spected quirks of the laws of science!

Don’t put all your eggs in one balance. Don’t count your eggs before you catch. You can beat an egg, but you can’t beat the craic.

Performer Biography

Brendan learned to juggle almost twenty years ago while studying English literature in Galway. After fifteen years as a software engineer he's come back to his true calling - circus - and as Juggler Brendan he now teaches and performs all over Ireland. He lives in Enniscorthy, county Wexford, with his wife, daughter, and dog, in a house where most things have been juggled at least once. His weekly egg budget is absolutely ridiculous.

Brendan is the recipient of the Space and Time to Create Residency 2026, in partnership with Motion Chapel.
